Susie Homemaker

Taryn Piana posed as a saucy Susie Homemaker last night, throwing in a bit of Gil Elvgren pin-up style toward the end. Great poses! I added some imaginary props and some tone just to give them a bit of finish. Thanks Taryn!

Cosmo Romance Story

We had the lovely Debra Haden as a young lady in 50s/60s formal wear. The story line we made up is she arrives at the dance only to be abandoned by her date, but in the end she's happy to be rid of him. Anyway, that was her motivation through the evening of poses, see if you think it comes through in the drawings! Thanks Debra!

Moulin Rouge

Marissa Gomez was très magnifique as a can-can dancer. She was a bit under the weather but stuck with us til the end. What a trooper!

Tomb of the Undead!

This came from a sketch I did of the great Stacy Walker dressed as a vampire hunter. (the candelabra was made out of cardboard!) I wanted to take it to a more finished piece, sort of a Hammer Films horror poster from the 60's. Stacy battles the undead in the bowels of the catacombs.Punch those lurid colors! Thanks again, Stacy!

Cartoony Cowboys and Lovely Ladies

Here are a few from the last 3 weeks.John Tucker returns as Black Bart, but I was bored with trying to capture reality, so went to the cartoony side. I don't know why it's so hard for me to exaggerate when drawing from life. The ladies of course are NOT cartoony. Peggy Moore does her great sassy western barmaid, and Daniella did a very sophisticated Downton Abbey set. Thanks to all.
